Indications

Analgesic immobilisation of the shoulder, the arm and forarm following:

• Non-surgical joint injuries of the shoulder and elbow (sub-luxations and sprains)
• Muscular injuries of the rottator cuffs
• Non-surgical fractures of the shoulder and elbow
• Ligamentous injury of the shoulder

Fitting Instructions

Using your healthy arm only

• Belt: For the right arm, the straps must be on the top armbands (a)
• For the left arm, the straps must be on the bottom armbands (b)
• Using your healthy arm, place the belt around your waist, after having positioned your other arm in the armbands without fastening them, and fasten
• You can now fasten the armbands using the straps
• For the right arm, close the upper part over the lower part
• For the left arm, close the lower part over the upper part
• Check that the belt is tight enough for optimum arm support and immobilisation. If the arm does not feel sufficiently supported, re-adjust the straps

Removable fastening bandages

• The small removable strap is used to make sure your hand is comfortably supported. Check that it circles the belt and slide it to the ends of your fingers (c)
• The large removable bandage : check that one of the velcro tabs of this removable fastening bandage for the elbow is already attached to the belt, about twenty centimetres behind the large armband. The professional supplying the product will be able to help you position this bandage properly. Get hold of it with your healthy hand and take it forward and close over the nearest armband to cover, support and immobilise the elbow (d)

Supportive Shoulder Brace

• Position the shoulder brace on the shoulder to be immobilised, with the thoracic fastening strap already attached to the back buckle on the shoulder brace, wind the velcro-fastening bandage around the chest and through the front buckle of the shoulder brace and attach it to itself
• For optimum comfort - do not place the IMMO Shoulder directly in contact with the skin;position over clothes or underwear (f).

Re-use of this device for the treatment of another patient is strictly due to hygiene and performance-related problems. If a decision is taken to re-use this device, than the person taking the decision is solely responsible and the Thuasne warranty will automatically become void.
